BGD WRAP Harness (EN/LTF) — hike-and-fly rucksack harness with airbag
The BGD WRAP combines a comfortable paragliding harness with an integrated hiking rucksack. The result is a compact, user-friendly setup for hike-and-fly, travel flying, and minimal everyday kit — without turning the harness into a floppy “stringbag” feel.
- Certified airbag protector with pre-inflation before launch
- External helmet net / fold-away helmet holder
- Removable hip belt for hiking comfort
- Under-seat reserve container
Who it’s for
This harness is for pilots who:
- Hike to launch and want a sleek, close-to-body carry
- Prefer a compact and lightweight paragliding setup
- Want a stable, weight-shift friendly harness that isn’t “wobbly”
- Need a durable harness that can handle regular use as well as mountains
Safety and comfort
The WRAP uses a nitinol-edged airbag designed to pre-inflate before launch (around 60% of full protection prior to becoming airborne), then inflate quickly via the under-seat intake once flying. The intake position is designed to reduce the chance of being blocked by your legs.
Harness features
- Get-up safety system (reduces risk of launching unsecured)
- Lightweight thread-through Camp leg-strap buckles
- Polypropylene seat plate
- Certified airbag protector with nitinol edging (pre-inflates before launch)
- Under-seat rescue container (4.6L, or 5.3L in XL)
- Large back pocket
- Zipped side pockets with tethers
Rucksack features
- Sleek shape keeps the load close to your body
- Padded, breathable back panel, shoulder straps and hip straps
- Removable hip belt (loosen Velcro and slide it out)
- Accessible pockets plus drinks-pouch system with tube routing
- External helmet carry system + elastic cord for extra clothing
Capacity and packing
The WRAP is available in four sizes, with rucksack volume from 80–102L depending on size. It’s designed to fit a lightweight wing (for example, an Echo 2, Breeze, or Lynx 2) along with your helmet, instruments, and spare layers — ideal for mountain days where you carry everything in one pack.

Target
The WRAP is for pilots who hike-and-fly, or who simply prefer a compact, lightweight paragliding harness. The rucksack is shaped to carry comfortably for serious mountain walking, and it switches in seconds to harness mode. In size M it weighs 2.75kg, yet it uses tough materials intended for regular use.
Designer’s notes
The WRAP was designed to perform properly in both hiking and flying modes. Comfort and practicality were priorities, but durability stayed at the centre of the design. It uses proven Cordura 500. An additional panel means the external rucksack parts aren’t structurally part of the harness — so scuffs and abrasion to the bag don’t compromise harness integrity.
The seat back is padded and breathable, and neoprene on the leg straps adds comfort. A nitinol wire opens the airbag so it pre-inflates before launch, then fills fast once airborne via the under-seat intake.
