Why South Morocco works well for EP training
South Morocco often gives more flyable training time than the UK in the same months. As a result, you usually get more chances to practise launches, approaches, and landings.
We have run Morocco trips for years. So, we know how to plan sites around the weather. Also, if conditions change, we adapt quickly to keep training useful and safe.

What you will learn on the BHPA EP pathway
The Elementary Pilot (EP) stage builds the habits that keep you safe. For example, you will work on:
- How to choose a safe site and make good weather decisions
- Ground handling and canopy control (including safe stops)
- Pre-flight checks and reliable routines
- Launch technique and clear “go / no-go” choices
- Basic flight control: straight flight and gentle turns with good lookout
- Approaches and landings, including flare timing and accuracy
However, conditions and readiness affect progress. So, we focus on safe, repeatable skill, not rushed sign-offs.

Safety-first instruction and equipment
Paragliding is aviation. So, we treat safety seriously. First, we choose suitable sites for the day. Then, we use clear briefings and simple steps. Also, we keep the ground setup tidy, because good habits start there.
We operate as a BHPA-registered school, and we follow recognised training standards. To learn more, visit:
- BHPA information (on our site)
- British Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association (BHPA)

Equipment replacement cycle
Safety is paramount. So, we use certified training equipment and maintain it carefully. In addition, we replace all training equipment every two years. That gives you peace of mind and helps you feel confident that we put your best interests first.

FAQ
Is this EP course in Morocco suitable for a complete beginner?
Yes. This course suits total beginners with no prior experience. First we build ground skills, and then we move to flights as conditions allow.
What’s included?
We include coaching, equipment, local site transport, and Agadir transfers at recommended times (where applicable). See the “Included” list above for details.
What do I need to bring?
Bring sturdy boots with ankle support, outdoor layers, and a windproof jacket. Also bring gloves, sunglasses, sun cream, and water. In addition, bring any personal medication. We recommend a small day bag for sites.
What happens if the weather isn’t suitable for flying?
Paragliding depends on weather. However, we still use the time well. For example, we may focus on ground handling, theory, planning, and decision-making. If we reduce flying time for safety, we will explain options and next steps clearly.
