BGD Adam 2 paraglider (EN/LTF-A) is a true beginner paraglider built for first flights, training and relaxed leisure flying. If you want an EN-A paraglider that launches easily, stays stable in roll, and reacts predictably while you learn, the Adam 2 is designed for exactly that.
The BGD ADAM paraglider is an EN/LTF-A certified wing built for training, first flights, and relaxed leisure flying. In plain terms: it’s made to be forgiving, stable, and confidence-building, so you can focus on learning good technique instead of fighting the wing.
- Certification: EN/LTF-A
- Designed for: beginners, schools, and low-stress leisure flying
- Handling goal: stable and predictable, without feeling dull
BGD Adam 2 beginner paraglider – key features
BGD built the ADAM around “eyes wide-open” safety: solid behaviour in real flying, not just on paper. As a result, the wing stays calm in roll, communicates clearly, and behaves reliably through manoeuvres.
- Exceptional roll stability for calmer, easier learning
- Impeccable spiral behaviour for predictable training progression
- Optimised line layout to keep things tidy and manageable
- Baby A-riser for controlled launches
- Cord Cut Billow (CCB) for cleaner, more stable leading-edge shaping
CCB and mini-ribs on the BGD Adam 2
The ADAM uses Cord Cut Billow (CCB) on the leading-edge top surface. That 3D shaping helps the panel wrap cleanly around the ribs instead of deforming them, which supports a more stable profile.
It also uses mini-ribs on the trailing edge, which is unusual at this level. On many large-celled beginner wings, brake input can distort the trailing edge. With mini-ribs, the brake fold stays cleaner and the brake feel becomes more consistent — so inputs feel clearer instead of vague.
Visibility (it’s not a gimmick)
The BGD ADAM is deliberately colourful. Being easy to see in the air and on the ground is a genuine safety advantage for instructors, new pilots, and busy sites.
Who the BGD Adam 2 paraglider is for
If you want a wing you can trust for your first flights — and you want it to stay useful as you build airtime — the ADAM is aimed straight at you. It’s also light and durable enough to be a practical daily training tool.
BGD Adam 2 designer’s notes
Bruce Goldsmith has designed paragliders since 1990. With modern design tools and features such as CCB, diagonal ribs, and trailing-edge mini-ribs, beginner wings can now combine high safety with cleaner handling. The ADAM is built as a balanced mix of simplicity and smart structure, so it launches easily and stays predictable in the air.
